This class prepares you to be successful in any retail customer service job. Class is in-person at the International Institute of Minnesota. Bus passes or gas cards are available. Contact us for transportation help.

Cost: Free

To register for class, you must come to an in-person intake session.

  • When: Every Friday
  • Arrive between 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. (Get directions.)
  • No appointment is needed. Please plan to be here for at least two hours, depending on how many students are waiting. During your visit, you will take an English test and talk about your goals. Our teachers will help you start the best class for your learning level.

To qualify for Customer Service job training, you must:

  • Be born outside the U.S. 
  • Live in Minnesota
  • Have conversational English skills

In this class you will learn:

  • English skills for cashier jobs
  • American customer service skills
  • Cash handling
  • Computer skills
  • You will also receive personal financial coaching and help finding a job.
